Good location in Rome: beautiful, romantic city. Hotel located near Termini Station. Very clean and very polite staff.
Location, good breakfast. convenient and reasonable bus service to city centre. Good restaurant nearby.
Tanti i locali vicini all'hotel. Comodo ai mezzi di trasporto. Parcheggio a pagamento e attenzione alla ZTL
We stayed in Laurentia Hotel for one week. It was very good to be here, because rooms were clean, and day by day it was cleaned. Breakfast was good, but i wanted that it will be not just light food, but i needed meat. Staff was excellent and perfect, because they found decision of all our problems very quick and was very polite and good in English language. I with my girlfriend had a perfect holiday week in this hotel. If we will come to Rome one more time, we will choose Laurentia hotel again.
f the nine hotels we stayed in during previous travels to Italy, our ten-day stay [May, 2006] at Hotel Laurentia was our favorite. Our room [#203] had a comfortable full size queen bed – not two twins pushed together. The bathroom shower was enclosed [be it small] with daily hot water. The air conditioner worked as well as the small refrigerator [once you pluged it in]. The room overlooked the open market and church. Yes, it was noisy outside late into the night, but that was corrected once the window was closed. Indeed, there was a lot of graffiti and posters on the buildings giving the area a rough appearance. But the neighborhood was safe, close to excellent gelato stands and restaurants free of annoying tourists. It was also close to bus transportation or a 20-minute walk to the bus terminal located at Rome’s main train station. Taxi service was easily available. The meter rate begins at the point of departure for the taxi, not from the hotel. But not to worry, average speed to the airport is 110 mpr. The breakfast buffet was outstanding with multiple selections of grains, cereals, fruits, juice, pastries, yogart and, upon request, excellent cappuccino. All of this served in a comfortable dining area. The staff was attentive, efficient, and responsive to requests. Of special recognition is the detailed connoisseur service provided by Alberto at the front desk. He is outstanding – speaking several languages.
Well served by the number 71 bus that will take you to centre of Rome. Breakfast is sumptuous. Area is run down but does have a few good bars and restaurants nearby. Check if air conditioning is available when you book as our room did not have any but this was fine in April. Reception can arrange a limo to Ciampino for E45. I would be quite happy to stay here again.
We booked online for three days and flew with Ryanair, then…a cheap deal. The hotel is located just 10 minutes from Termini Station. Our room was clean and tidy, breakfast was milk, coffee, jam, butter, fruit and croissants. Rome is beautiful!!! Good hotel for good money
I liked very much kind and friendly staff of hotel, cosy breakfast area and silence of the rooms
We've got 2 nice rooms on the 3rd floor (306, 307) which were really nice and clean. 306 a little bit smaller with the toilet a bit too closed to the sink. There is a little market every morning that could be a bit noisy in the morning but from the third floor it was perfectly fine and we could not hear it. Staff is really nice and very helpfull. I have to thank in particular Alberto that made every morning of our stay a real joy. Thank to you Alberto. Surroundings seemed a bit rough cos there were graffiti everywhere but it was actually fine with some nice restaurant around. Nearest tube station is Vittorio Emanuele, 10 min walk. Buses 2 min down the road. Termini train station 15 min walk or 5 min by bus. 25 min walk to the Colosseum. We really enjoyed our 3 days in Rome and we will definitely recommend the hotel to friends and family.
The Hotel Laurentia has it all: exellent and quiet situation off the tourist trac, close to good local restaurants and shopping, spacious and clean rooms with exellent comfort, extremely serviceminded and friendly staff, tasteful lounge and breakfast area, guest PC for internet access - I sure will come back - my best recommendations
I stay at the Laurentia Hotel when I come in Rome for long time and it is always cheap, comfortable and with very competence employees.
Good hotel in Roman term of availability and respectively to the price/quality ratio. about 10-15 minutes walk from termini station (so if coming by train - take a taxi and don't drag your bags!). lovely frontdesk people.
Had a lovely stay at the beginning of our trip, even though we were given a room on the 2nd floor (european 1st floor) with a view that looked out onto the square that is very busy and loud at night (a pretty happening nite-life, bar scene of college students). But other than that the room was very spacious comfortable and peaceful, and the service warm and hospitable. We even came back to stay at the tail end of our trip 2 weeks later, and the service at the front desk was even warmer and nicer, as those at hotel Laurentia seem loyal to loyalty. The neighborhood is "cool" and cheap, good for artists, musicians, travellers on a budget etc to hang and shop and drink and dine. One thing though, I noticed some graffitti of nazi swastikas on seemingly random building walls and such -- the San Lorenzo district is home to some of that pursuasion apparently, and it's not an uncommon thing in Italy, unfortunately -- but being of Asian descent myself, I experienced no problem whatsoever during my stay. As long as you avoid messing with the biker kids up the block that congregate late at night (they keep to themselves mostly, and ride bicycles not motorbikes) then you'd be fine. The neighborhood shopowners, bartenders, restaurateurs, etc were all gracious respectful and nice to us and we are beholden to them for making our stay so enjoyable. Also, the monti et mari pizza from the pizzeria around the corner is AMAZING.
This is our 4th stay at the Laurentia and we have nothing but praise for the way the hotel is run. All the staff are very friendly and welcoming - especially Gianni and Enzo on the reception desk. The rooms are very pleasant, airy, and clean and the air conditioning works very well in the summer (though not so good in the winter!!) It is also nice to have clean towels every day and frequent fresh sheets on the beds. The breakfast is good and adequate and it is good that ham and cheese have been added to the menu.
Zimmer - Boden nicht sehr sauber, Sauberkeit Rest i.O. Frühstücksbuffet nicht jeden Tag volständig (1 x keine Butter, 1 x kein normales Brot, nur süss)
had a conference at the university so it was a perfect location for that. the hotel itself is very nice...good room, great breakfast, and extremely friendly guys at the front desk who were very helpful with everything. would be nice to have wifi in all the rooms, but was still ok using it in the lobby. the area is young with lots of students and there are some great bars around.
I stayed in this hotel with my family for an overnight stay and was enough to understand everything about it. It'ss placed in a really nice location,"San Lorenzo",a very eventful district quite close to the city centre,as well. The staff is warm ( i really appreciated the kindness of the receptionist),the rooms are surprisingly clean (in the bathroom you could walk with bare feet ,i swear) and spacious as well. There's free wifi (you have just to enter their code on your laptop),the breakfast is included ( there's lot of stuff: pies, cakes, fruit juice,biscuits,ham...) and the price is sooo cheap: we paid around 40 euros (33 pounds) per person. There's also an excellent restaurant called "I Fratelli" just after the first side street. Definitely recommended.
Hotel was clean, modern with friendly and helpful staff. Not as near Termini as I thought but worked to our advantage, Being a 10 to 15 min walk away from Termini, it was quiet at night with a good range of places to eat.
Friendly, English speaking, helpful staff. Wonderful breakfast room, with plenty of good breakfast. We took the bus to Trevi Fountain, but it was several blocks to the bus stop. Taxis were easier. Had lunch at Armando's, a good pizza restaurant recommended near by. Good ice cream store near by, also. College atmosphere on the main street. We were there 2 days - not long enough. Had a quiet back room at Laurentia.
Gutes, sauberes mittelklassehotel ohne großen luxus. gute lage etwas außerhalb vom innenstadtbereich, jedoch nicht weit vom bahnhof termini. viele gute und preiswerte restaurants in unmittelbarer nähe (einige einkaufsmöglichkeiten) würden das hotel jederzeit weiter empfehlen
This is a really good one if you're searching for a good hotel with a good price! The hotel crew is friendly and helpful, they mostly speak English. It's actually a bit far away from everything if you're not using a car or scooter. So if you don't prefer walking and you would like to discover Rome just on foot, you should rent something in the middle of the city. The breakfast is OK, the hotel is surrounded by lots of restaurants, shops and there's even a market... so you can by whatever you need. Overall this is a really good place to stay, if you're on a trip.
Saubere, grosse Zimmer. Lage im hippen Stadtteil San Lorenzo. Gute Busverbindung in die Altstadt. Gute Restaurants, Bars und Clubs in der Nähe.
Hotel confortable , limpio , tranquilo .
