"Gute Lage by TripAdvisor"

Vom Termini in ca. 20 min. mit 20 kg Rollkoffer zu Fuß zu erreichen, teilweise gepflasterte Bürgersteige. Noch zur Lage angenehmes Studentenviertel, Lokale und Lebensmittel sozusagen um die Ecke. Frühstück OK Mix zwischen italienisch und kontinental - kein britisches...! Rezeption freundlich und immer zu sprechen.

Gutes, sauberes mittelklassehotel ohne großen luxus. gute lage etwas außerhalb vom innenstadtbereich, jedoch nicht weit vom bahnhof termini. viele gute und preiswerte restaurants in unmittelbarer nähe (einige einkaufsmöglichkeiten) würden das hotel jederzeit weiter empfehlen

The hotel is very good, the location could be better but it is not bad because you have bus in front of the hotel and in 10 minutes you can be in downtown. I have been good in the hotel and I will repeated again if I have the ocasion.

f the nine hotels we stayed in during previous travels to Italy, our ten-day stay [May, 2006] at Hotel Laurentia was our favorite. Our room [#203] had a comfortable full size queen bed – not two twins pushed together. The bathroom shower was enclosed [be it small] with daily hot water. The air conditioner worked as well as the small refrigerator [once you pluged it in]. The room overlooked the open market and church. Yes, it was noisy outside late into the night, but that was corrected once the window was closed. Indeed, there was a lot of graffiti and posters on the buildings giving the area a rough appearance. But the neighborhood was safe, close to excellent gelato stands and restaurants free of annoying tourists. It was also close to bus transportation or a 20-minute walk to the bus terminal located at Rome’s main train station. Taxi service was easily available. The meter rate begins at the point of departure for the taxi, not from the hotel. But not to worry, average speed to the airport is 110 mpr. The breakfast buffet was outstanding with multiple selections of grains, cereals, fruits, juice, pastries, yogart and, upon request, excellent cappuccino. All of this served in a comfortable dining area. The staff was attentive, efficient, and responsive to requests. Of special recognition is the detailed connoisseur service provided by Alberto at the front desk. He is outstanding – speaking several languages.

La camera era davvero pulitissima; mi ha sorpresa l'estrema pulizia del bagno e dei servizi, della biancheria da letto e di ogni componente dell'arredo, finanche tende. La notte è trascorsa tranquilla, niente rumori, niente noie, nemmeno dall'esterno della struttura. Il tv in camera funzionava. Consierge disponibilissimi e staff curato, educato, gentilissimi. Registrazione lampo ed ascensore per accedere ai piani. Il buffet per la colazione davvero molto vario, dai croissant allo yogurt ai cereali.....di tutto, davvero. Saletta colazione davvero incantevole, come il disimpegno.

In my frequent visits to Rome , I have stayed at this small hotel quite few time. The hotel is conveniently located in San Lorenzo very easy to reach from the rail stations either Termini Station or Tiburtina Station never more than 7€ Euro of a taxi ride. It is great if you have to attend or you have some business at local La Sapienza University ( like in my case) 5 min. walk. Rooms tough a bit dated are clean and comfortable. Free wi-fi connection everywhere. Great continental breakfast. At night many good options for local dining from very simple pizza places to restaurants and pubs where to grab a drink . For those who like to visit town tough not right in the city center it is very easy to reach main sites by bus number 492 and 71 ...just from the main road behind the hotel. The reception staff is very professional and accommodating I had to shorten my stay in two different occasion and they never charged me a penalty for doing so. They help ed me with taxi arrangements and left luggages. Rates if you book well in advance are really great for a town like Rome. Definitely a place to stay in the Eternal City.

Excellent service. Neighborhood looks rough, lots of graffiti but turned out to be quite pleasant. Good restaurants in vicinity. Several blocks walk to main train station, where all forms of tour buses etc. are to be found. Price seems high, but it is Rome.

We asked for a romantic room upstairs with a nice view - and alberto, the very helkpfuly and friendly manager, has given us a great room with a wonderful view on the square with the market and church and his tower - we even could see the hill and mountains! Room was very cosey - little but not too little, beds are really nice, all clean, italian styled. Breakfast room in a cave very speciall and we had good fresh made coffee there. Location is great if you like to stay in a trendy and alteritave lifely aera with great bars, restaurants, small fashion and vintage store, lots of life music and art - not the overpriced and overrated touristic zone of rome, more the real rome - but also very close to Coloseum and termini - for those who are lazy - they can catch bus 71 or 492 nearby to vatican or plaza spagna, nr. 3 to colosseum - coming from the airport fiumcino its better to go with train FR 1 to Tiburtina Station and then taking the bus outside Nr.71 directly to Porto San Lorenzo (8 minutes). Theres a great enotecca leftside from hotel with antipasti buffet and great wine and also a super pizza to go place right from the hotel as well as the small market offers fresh fruits and cheese and more! At night, theres lots of people making it a reall scenic square. But - windows closing well, so it never is too loud if you wanna sleep well - we highly recommend the hotel and his friendly staff and the aera for those who are not to stiff and looking for something real in rome. (PS: Check out the micca club through the passage in via micca pietro) a great lounge and cocktail retro club!

Excellent hôtel, correspondant, en gros, à un très bon deux étoiles "nouvelles normes" à la française. Chambres propres, confortables et bien équipées, communs (escaliers, salons, hall) plutôt luxueux, jolie cafétéria, belle salle de brique voûtée pour le petit-déjeuner, par ailleurs copieux et bien servi, personnel expérimenté, efficace et très courtois, quartier estudiantin et populaire, chaleureux et animé (nombreux bars et pizzerias à prix très accessibles, marché devant l'hôtel, sur la piazzeta, etc.), à 15 min à pied de Termini. A recommander, donc.

Hotel in zona San Lorenzo di buon livello, ottimo per pulizia e molto bella la sala colazione, sotto archi di pietra. La posizione è comoda per chi ha bisogno di muoversi velocemente nella zona dell’università, dove per forza di cose la rete dei trasporti è ottima (anche se gli autobus spesso sono pieni zeppi). Camera molto spaziosa, bel bagno con mattonelle verdi, bellissima vista sulla piazza del mercato di San Lorenzo. Terrazzo larghissimo e parquet in legno (ovviamente la mia camera non era una camera standard ma una delle camere all’ultimo piano, con terrazza). Buono, per me consigliabile anche come hotel romantico.

I am very happy to stay in hotel Laurentia, particularly because of its location near the train station and near the University. At the same time it is located in a small street, across from a market. Next time in Rome I'll be back

Arredamento delle camere un po' spartano, asciugamani del bagno un po' sottili. Non proprio vicini i collegamenti per il centro e dintorni in direzione della stazione mal frequentati, soprattutto nelle ore serali. Per il resto tutto ok. Personale gentile e disponibile. Buona colazione in bellissima sala. In generale consigliato!

Con questa è la seconda volta che prenoto l'hotel laurentia. mi son trovato abbastanza bene, hotel tranquillo, buona colazione, buona base di partenza per visitare roma, a cento metri dall'hotel passa l'autobus 71 che ti permette di raggiungere facilmente la metro ed il centrissimo di roma, fontana di trevi, piazza navona ecc...

Very nice hotel, we very much enjoyed our stay. It is particularly close to the University which we found convenient as we were attending a conference. At the same time it was an easy walk to most city sights. There were several very good restaurants within easy walking for excellent lunches and better dinners.

Very homely,i already passed the word to some friends of mine and their are chequing it out thank you very much the service was excellent on sunday 25/03/07before leaving the hotel on the night the time change and we did not realize on the take the breakfast away because the time allready gone the staff kindly bought some food to our table and their did not complain or refuse

Personnel tres gentil, souriant et serviable! Tout particulierement Vicenzo a la reception. Buffet du petit dejeuner copieux, mais de qualite moyenne. Chambre spacieuse avec une terrasse et un petit frigo etait disponible. J'ai beaucoup apprecie tous les produits disponibles dans la salle de bain (charlotte pour cheveux, savon, gel douche, shampooing, kit de rasage, peigne) qui etait tres propre et spacieuse. Un peu loin du centre ville, à une dizaine de minutes de l'ISS et a 15 min a pied de la gare Termini (ou deposent la navette et le train depuis l'aeroport).

Excellent staff, very polite and helpful. Room was nice, clean and comfortable. The terrace was fantastic and very romantic. Good choice of food at buffet breakfast. Wi-fi in our room was very well. The location of the hotel is rather convenient: several small restaurants, cafes and supermarket () are nearb?. 15 minutes walk from Termini station, 10 minutes walk to subway (station Castro Pretorio). Wonderful hotel with nice personal and good service!

Staff were very friendly and helpful, speaking English well. Room was clean and large. Double bed and two single beds. Initially we were a bit daunted by location but found and had not problems. Location was close to main rail station, restaurants, etc. Breakfast was lovely.
